Harold and the Purple Crayon

Abby has been hooked on a few books...The Selfish Giant, Jack and the Beanstalk, Horton Hatches an Egg and Go, Dog, Go.  We have read these over and over and over again the past few days.  She was finally ready to move on to a new book today!  We read Harold and the Purple Crayon.  Abby colored with a purple crayon as I read her the story.  After we were done, Abby asked for an apple for her snack...since Harold drew an apple tree.

Abby wanted to look at the apple tree while she ate her apple.  While her drawing may look like scribbling to you...she actually drew the moon, the path, a tree, a mountain, and the balloon.

After we finished reading about Harold and his purple crayon, we also read The Selfish Giant, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs and Go, Dog, Go.  Abby has already asked to read Horton Hatches an Egg after her nap!  This girl LOVES to read!
